Homemade Pasta

So this definitely isn’t a lazy recipe like I usually make, but it is super simple and very yummy. I put these noodles in Chris’s homemade chicken broth and it was amazing. Let’s just say if I was sick today, I’m not anymore.

  • 1 cup of flour (130 grams)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1/2 tsp salt

In a bowl or on the counter, mix flour with salt and whisked egg. Add a tablespoon or two of water if needed. Knead the dough for at least 5 minutes. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and let rest in the fridge for about an hour before rolling it out. With a pasta machine or rolling pin, roll out the dough to desired thickness. With a pizza cutter, cut into strips and let the noodles dry out for an hour or two. Make sure to make the noodles a little smaller than what you want in the end, the noodles will puff a little when they cook. Boil in salted water for no longer than 5 minutes.
